Mysteries?????

Three years later I’m finally on my way home. Can’t believe it at all. Speaking to my darling friend Liz this morning while on the queue for check in was absolutely surreal. I’ve actually left three years of my life behind. I season passed. I won’t say I’m sad about it at all because I’m not. If I could turn back time there are very few things I would do differently. I wouldn’t change my course and I wouldn’t change my friends. That’s a bundle to be thankful for.

So I’m finally over mainland Africa. Currently over the Sahara Desert to be precise. Altitude 37000 feet, Outside temperature -46ºC Distance to Destination 2994 miles and closing with just over four hours to the destination. I have no idea who’s picking me up from the airport or anything. Just an expectant desire to be at the airport. Well in Kenya really.

I don’t know what I’m going to do. Have no clue how I’m going to get the job that I want or where I’m going to bag a man for life…..as has been constantly touched upon by those from my previous congregation But thankfully a lot of this is not up to only me so I’m sure I’ll be aright. Can’t wait to see all my friends. Wonder if we’ll still have talking points after all this time……….

Bored through and through really. Can’t stand these looong flights. I better sleep instead of boring the life out of my neighbours. Better still I’ll watch love actually. A huge round of applause to he who got it for me. Be blessed. Well I’ll be of now I’m falling asleep AGAIN………………..

Let God take care of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lord Of Life

Lord of life.

Interesting phrase I think.
It has come to my attention that I’ve been looking at this phrase from the outside and I may need to get into the picture if this is what I profess about my life.

As I was thinking about it two minutes ago I thought everyone needs to understand the lordship of God in our lives. I mean heck he does shape our destiny’s and is in ultimate control of our lives right. But then a thought dropped in my head. (As it normally does when I externalize God). What I need to do is see if I have made the lordship real in my life.

I could crawl under a rock and hide out of the sheer fact that God had to remind me to assess the log in my eye not the speck in my brother’s but he’s made provision for my silliness so I ‘m alright. I have relinquished a lot of stuff in my life to God. I’ve sometimes even fooled myself into thinking that I’m completely sold out…(which by the way is where I always want to be) but I’ve found that I’m still holding on to a few stations at the Cowi control tower so there’s my tupence for today. I’m going to extract my log. Watch this space.....incoming sawdust!!!!!!!!!!

Back to June

Hi all. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged or updated this site. The pleasures of moving I guess. I am determined to rejoice in all things, so even if I felt like someone had performed non-anesthetized surgery on me by denying me the www I am going to be happy that it means I’m a step closer to home. Goodness how in the world am I going to survive in Kenya. Worse still how am I going to survive in Nyahururu? It’s been and interesting past couple of days though. Having my parents over for my graduation has been amazing. I mean I can’t explain how good it feels to say mommy and daddy more than once a week. I feel like hugging them every few minutes. I am in love with having them around. Pity I have to work in Nairobi…actually come to think of it I should be rejoicing. I have become quite used to living by myself and I donnu how long I can take sayin’ daddy may I.

So how was my graduation, hmmmmm quite exciting though I don’t have as many pictures as most people. Will try get them up soon. Note to self….tell someone who will constantly remind me to do this… I think I looked great in the gown, but I did take it off in a hurry. My family told me off for taking it off. Suggested I keep it on for a week or so, take it home and sleep in it for that one night….well I’m not one for ceremony so I didn’t take their advice.

One day left in good old England. Goodbye United Kingdom. I am very glad to be leaving because I have a great peace about it. I know God’s got something up his sleeve for me. Maybe it’s the lull before the storm but I’m sure he’ll hold my hand. Also I’m going to see my brothers and just the thought of that makes me so happy I have to pause here and regain my composure. My elder sister the most beautiful of the lot, is also in my reach. I looooooove her. This would be an anticlimax if I don’t have a love interest and luckily for you I do….Juicy gossip on that coming soon…. (Obviously a ploy to get you to come back here – forgive me but I’m shamelessly shameful). And because I don’t want to be called a liar let me just admit that you probably won’t hear much about that.

So I’ve mentioned the happy part of leaving England. As for al the sobbing I know I”ll be doing the next couple of weeks I will not venture. The thought of leaving my whole church and friendships I’ve cultivated over the years is distressing. So I’m keeping busy and making sure I don’t have too much time alone just because its easier not to face it. I will miss Leicester and my life there, but I know it was a phase in my journey and now that my shepherd is leading me elsewhere I’d better pack up my bags and head out!!!!!!!!!!

After all, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF ME!!!
